Women’s Hospitality Innovation Council: Tackling Hotel Tech Challenges Together

March 4, 2024

RICHARDSON, TX –– Visual Matrix, a leading provider of advanced technology solutions for the hospitality industry, is proud to announce the creation of the Women’s Hospitality Innovation Council, bringing together senior-level female leaders and others from across the industry to do what they do best: solve problems.

“Women are good at solving common problems and multitasking in ways that enable progress on multiple problems simultaneously. A core quality needed in today’s hospitality landscape,” Georgine Muntz, Visual Matrix CEO, said. “The more we multitask, side by side, the more we will understand one another’s challenges and be able to work toward common solutions instead of getting stuck in silos.”

With increased collaboration, the new group hopes to find faster pathways of bringing technology solutions to hotels that are easily integrated and implemented and more cost efficient. “Bringing together the talent working on this issue to collaborate rather than complete feels like a winning formula for us as well as for hotels,” Muntz said.

The new Council met at the 2023 Lodging Conference this past November. Muntz, along with Patty Jefferson, Visual Matrix Chief Development Officer, welcomed several industry leaders to the meeting, including Julie Arrowsmith, President and CEO of G6 Hospitality; Mercedes Blanco, Chief Partnerships Officer at The Hotels Network; Michael Frenkel, President of Travel Conversations LLC; Ali Jarosh, Vice President of Account Management at IDeaS; Glenn Haussman, Founder and Host of the No Vacancy podcast; Dayna Kully, Cofounder of 5th Generation Wireless; Flo Lugli, Founder and Principal of Navisenk Advisory Group, and Lina Patel, Director of Strategic Franchise Initiatives at Red Roof.

They plan to meet on a regular basis to discuss updates and problems they share and leverage the power of collaboration to drive innovation that can solve some of the long-standing operational challenges facing hotels today. “Supplementing competition with collaboration benefits everyone,” Muntz said.

The Women’s Hospitality Innovation Council is another example of Visual Matrix’s commitment to recognizing the achievements of women in hospitality and championing the many benefits of a more diverse and inclusive industry.
